Everyday workhorse. A 120Hz screen, solid performance, long battery life, a 50MP camera and a stylish design – on paper, the Motorola Moto G73 5G has everything a good mid-tier smartphone needs. For slightly under €300 (US$330), you are also getting an almost stock Android 13 and plenty of storage. Few steps forward, several steps back. The OnePlus 11 promises a premium, flagship-class smartphone experience with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, improved imaging sensors, UFS 4.0 storage, and long-term OS updates. Really awesome? The Galaxy A54 5G is the poster child for Samsung's mid-range devices. The Super AMOLED screen has grown to 6.6 inches and achieves more than 1000 cd/m². The inexpensive smartphone has also improved in terms of processor performance and storage capacity.

In one point not up to date anymore. The Redmi Note 12 Pro aims to set new standards in the midrange with a new camera sensor and optical image stabilization.
