Scalped RTX 4080 GPUs are apparently selling 3x worse than RTX 4090 cards on eBay

Although the RTX 4080 brings a big performance bump over the RTX 3080, it costs US$500 more for the Founders Edition SKU. Owing to this price bump, reports have suggested that the card isn’t selling as well as the RTX 4090. The latest story comes from Tom’s Hardware which looked at eBay sales for the RTX 4080 since launch and found out that the board is underselling by a factor of 3.4 vs the RTX 4090.

AMD and Nvidia reportedly lose market share in Q3 2022 as GPU shipments suffer massive 25% year-over-year decline

According to the latest report from Jon Peddie Research, GPU shipments in Q3’22 vs Q2’22 have fallen to an extent not seen since the 2009 economic downturn. The total shipments for graphics boards are also down 25.1% compared to Q3 2021. The same is the case for the CPU segment which have experienced a double-digit year-over-year decrease in Q3’22.

AMD finally compares Radeon RX 7900 XT and Radeon RX 7900 XTX with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 and shares new gaming benchmarks

AMD may have announced the Radeon RX 7900 series a few weeks ago, but it has taken the company until now to reveal how its latest offerings compare against the RTX 4080, NVIDIA's latest Ada Lovelace architecture card. Unsurprisingly, the Radeon RX 7900 XTX offers better value for money than the RTX 4080 while also usurping the performance of the Radeon RX 6950 XT.

"Laughable" RTX 4080 stock levels hinted at launch while the RX 7900 XT and XTX supply could be much better vs the RTX 4090

The RTX 4080 will be up for sale starting today. Compared to the RTX 4090, the latest rumors suggest the GPU is in short supply at major retailers. On the other hand, the RDNA 3-based RX 7900 XT and the RX 7900 XTX are expected to have much better stock compared to the RTX 4090 and the RTX 4080.

Forged 51Risc RTX 3070 TiM brings RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU to the desktop, US$67 cheaper than original RTX 3060 Ti FE MSRP

A small Chinese GPU maker, 51Risc, is now offering the RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU as a desktop PCIe card. The misleading branding, which says RTX 3070 TiM, actually compares to and is US$69 cheaper than the RTX 3060 Ti at MSRP. The RTX 3070 TiM sports largely the same specs as that of the RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU but with a 17.5 Gbps memory speed and a 220 W TDP.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti: Packaging, specifications and release dates leak for re-branded RTX 4080 12 GB

It seems that NVIDIA is on course to relaunch the RTX 4080 12 GB. Now called the RTX 4070 Ti, the graphics card retains the same product board and SKU as the RTX 4080 12 GB but with a reduced launch price. Not only has RTX 4070 Ti packaging leaked, but also several dates concerning the card’s announcement and release.
