Launched on May 24, the RX 7600 is the cheapest RDNA 3 GPU coming in at only US$270. However, even though the card is 27% faster than the RX 6600 at 1080p on average, the board is still not as good of a value as it should’ve been considering the significant price cuts that the RX 6600 is currently enjoying. Thankfully, you can now get the RX 7600 for only US$249.99, a discount of US$20 on the US$269.99 MSRP (via VideoCardz).
The RX 7600 model on sale is the MSI MECH 2X Classic OC. The variant has a 2,695 MHz boost clock which is 40 MHz more than the standard 2,655 MHz boost frequency of the reference model. Additionally, the ASRock Challenger and the XFX Speedster SWFT210 RX 7600 GPUs have also been discounted on Newegg and Amazon for US$259.99 and US$257.99 respectively.
Although these price cuts may not sound like much, the RX 7600 already undercuts the upcoming US$299 RTX 4060 at its usual US$270 rate. So, the MSI MECH 2X Classic RX 7600 for US$249.99 seems like a good deal as the RTX 4060 is expected to compete with the RX 7600 in performance.
That said, NVIDIA can reduce the RTX 4060 MSRP when it releases on June 29 which would make the competition between Team Red and Team Green’s budget offerings much more interesting.
