Deal | Intel Arc A750 8GB Limited Edition gaming GPU drops to US$199.99
Newegg is offering an enticing price cut for Intel’s Arc A750 8 GB Limited Edition card right when Nvidia and AMD are launching current gen budget cards like the RTX 4060 / Ti and the RX 7600. For a limited time, the Arc A750 is only $US 199.99, making it an excellent 1080p solution, even if it technically is “last gen.”
What exactly are we getting for US$200? With the latest Intel drivers, the A750 is pretty much on par with the RTX 3060 8 GB. It trades blows in most AAA games at 1080p and it even beats the Nvidia card in synthetic tests, especially in ray tracing benchmarks.. The launch drivers from late 2022 had some problems in DX9 games, but Intel managed to fix most of the quirks, as the newer driver versions boost performance by up to 79% in titles like CS:GO and ES V: Skyrim.
When it comes to resolution supersampling, Intel’s XeSS implementation appears to be stacking well against the competition. With the latest drivers, XeSS offers relatively better image quality compared to AMD’s FSR 2 solution, and it almost matches Nvidia’s DLSS 2 in some cases. However, there are considerably less games that currently support XeSS, so Intel still needs to work on expanding compatibility.
Price-wise, US$200 for the Arc A750 is quite the bargain if we make a direct comparison to current RTX 3060 8 GB prices, which hover around $300. One thing to consider is that Nvidia plans to launch the RTX 4060 with 8 GB this July for ~US$300 MSRP. Looking at how the RTX 4060 Ti is getting destroyed in most reviews, the 8 GB non-Ti version has high chances to end up as a bad deal, as well.
