The Xiaomi Mijia Smart Treadmill is now available to pre-order in China. The running machine has a quiet brushless motor generating 65 dBa noise, with a peak of 3 hp and a top speed of 15 kph (~9.3 mph). The new device has a wide running belt, measuring 1,220 x 460 mm (~48.0 x 18.1-in), with seven layers of cushioning for a comfortable workout.
The Mijia Smart Treadmill has many pre-set courses and is set at a 4% incline to increase the health benefits. You can connect your Xiaomi smartwatch to the running machine enabling an intelligent speed adjustment feature linked to your heart rate. You can also link the device to other Mijia smart home products; for example, you could set the air conditioning and speaker to start with the treadmill. The running machine has a digital display showing information such as your distance and speed. You can adjust the speed manually using the built-in dial and view the same data in the Mi Sports Health app. A safety switch will automatically stop the treadmill if you slip, and you can enable a child safety mode.
The Xiaomi running machine can be folded, making it easier to store; when folded, it is 210 mm (~8.27-in) tall. The device is relatively lightweight, weighing 40 kg (~88 lbs) and can support loads up to 110 kg (~243 lbs). You can now pre-order the Xiaomi Mijia Smart Treadmill in China for the discounted price of 1,899 yuan (~US$270) with a 100 yuan (~US$14) deposit; the product is expected to retail for 1,999 yuan (~US$284) in the future.
