Xiaomi CIVI 3 with Dimensity 8200-Ultra SoC surfaces on Geekbench ahead of launch
Xiaomi and MediaTek have teamed up to mark the conversion of the CIVI series from Qualcomm Snapdragon 7-series smartphones to those of a Dimensity 8000-based nature instead. Then again, its 3rd generation gets the latest version of the 8200 processor rather than a brand new SoC.
Now, this CIVI 3 may have popped its head up ahead of its to-be-determined launch, as the latest Android 13 devices with what looks like a new Xiaomi model number on the Geekbench database.
The "23046PNC9C" has the exact same core configuration and frequency profile as the 8200 in the vivo I2238, or iQOO Neo7 SE, (with a top speed of 3.1GHz as a highlight) on the same benchmark. However, if the former really has the Ultra variant, it is hard to see how its new suffix sets it apart in this leak.
The newer device has returned single- and multi-core scores of 1148 and 3356 respectively: incredibly comparable to the Neo7 SE in both respects - which is even slightly ahead in some cases, despite having 8GB of RAM to the "CIVI 3's" 12.
Therefore, it is now up to the new mid-range device to somehow prove that the "8200-Ultra" is something more than another potentially underwhelming refresh on its release.
