Dell has once again missed its release date for the new XPS 13 2-in-1, having already delayed it by almost a month. The company only came clean after people online were left wondering why the upcoming convertible had not launched on August 2. Now multiple sources are suggesting an additional delay of at least a few weeks, with the device potentially not shipping in some key markets before the end of the month.

Lenovo has teased a trio of new Chromebooks with 8th gen Intel silicon on board. The new models come in an 11.6-inch convertible, a 14-inch 180-degree and a 15.6-inch convertible with the latter focused on business productivity

The Google device codenamed "Atlas" has just surfaced in an FCC listing. If the rumor turns out to be true, this portable made by Quanta Computer Inc. will soon hit the market as the Pixelbook 2. This would be an impressive feat in a full campaign period, let alone 2 days. The Chuwi MiniBook is an 8.0-inch ultra-mobile convertible laptop that starts at US$430 for the Celeron N4100 model and US$530 for the Core m3-8100Y model on Indiegogo. The MiniBook will ship worldwide in September.

One-Netbook seems to be constantly updating its product portfolio and now the One Mix 1S Yoga mini laptop can join that list. The pocket-sized computer with a 7-inch 1920x1200 resolution display is joining a growing and competitive market thanks to rival products from manufacturers such as GPD and Chuwi. The One Mix 1S Yoga comes with an Intel Celeron 3965Y processor.

Microsoft is now selling a cheaper version of the Surface Book 2 15. The new model swaps the Core i7 CPU for a Core i5 and drops the dedicated GTX 1060 GPU. However, at $2000, the Core i5 Surface Book 2 15 is hardly a bargain considering the Core i7/GTX 1060 model is a mere $200 more.

There has been an update in regard to the release schedule for Dell’s new XPS 13 2-in-1 7390 convertible. It was originally expected to be made available on July 10, but it seems potential purchasers will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the upgraded device. The XPS 13 7390 should be released in late July or early August.

Huawei has announced that it is pushing back the launch of its vaunted foldable Mate X smartphone. Where it looked like it might beat the Samsung Galaxy Fold to market, its launch has been pushed back until at least September.

Hot on the heels of the One Mix 3 and 3s comes the 3s Platinum Edition, an 8.4-inch UMPC equipped with a Core i7-8550Y processor, 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. The One Mix 3s Platinum Edition is available to order for US$1,199.99 on Geekbuying and will ship on July 9.

The Chuwi MiniBook will feature an Intel Core m3-8100Y or a Celeron N4100 processor, 8 GB of RAM and a 128 GB SSD in a compact UMPC form factor. The convertible will be available to order from next Wednesday for US$499 for the Core m3-8100Y model.

The One Mix 3s comes with an 8.4-inch 2K display, an Intel Core m3-8100Y processor, 16 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD all in a 650 g chassis. The One Mix 3s is available to order worldwide for US$899.99 from Geekbuying and will ship on June 22.

With the introduction of the Snapdragon 7cx, Qualcomm intends to offer a solid alternative for Intel's Core i3 Whiskey Lake CPUs, targeting budget laptops in the US$300-800 range. The new SoC would also offer doubled power efficiency thanks to its 7 nm fabrication process, which would translate into up to 15-20 hours of battery life.

Sources within Microsoft indicate that the company has joined Asus, HP and Lenovo in creating a laptop/tablet hybrid device and has released teaser images to some staff. Core i5/i7 CPU, 8 GB of RAM, 256 GB NVMe SSD, Thunderbolt 3, Wi-Fi 6, 1080p touchscreen, three-sided narrow bezels, and 9+ hours of web browsing will all eventually be standard on your next Ultrabook in Intel's vision of the near future. The chipmaker will work directly with OEMs down to the component level to ensure a more seamless Ultrabook experience especially when outdoors and running on battery power.
