Xiaomi has now finally teased its next premium smartphone. This phone, previously rumored to be the Redmi K50 Ultra or Redmi K50S Pro, seems to be branded as the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition, and will debut this month with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

According to previous reports, Nothing was supposedly working on a new smartphone—a Nothing Phone (1) Lite, of sorts—that would give up a few features of the Nothing Phone (1) in exchange for a lower price tag. Those reports have now been put to rest, however, with company CEO Car Pei branding them as "fake news".

DxOMark has provided its thoughts on the Pixel 6a, Google's latest mid-range smartphone. Supposedly, the Pixel 6a's cameras punch above their weight and only just fall short of the Pixel 6. The Pixel 6a is said to offer a class-leading display too, even with a 1080p resolution and a 60 Hz refresh rate.

According to reports, Samsung may not release its next flagship foldable as the Galaxy Z Fold4 5G. Instead, the company is rumoured to have dropped its 'Z' branding globally, with the Galaxy Fold4 replacing the Galaxy Z Fold3. A new Counterpoint Research report indicates that the smartphone market in Europe saw its "worst" second quarter since 2020, with 11% fewer shipments year-on-year (YoY), as well as 13% fewer compared to the preceding quarter, or 1Q2021.
