According to a new report, the virtual reality (VR) gaming market will grow from its most recent US$10.3 billion valuation to one of $40.2 billion in 2024. This is likely to be driven by advancements in VR equipment design and function. However, the cost of the same is also thought to be what is holding this market back at present.

While the device is a capable gaming laptop in its own right, the secondary display could be a game changer that raises the Omen X 2S above the crowd. Lenovo has revealed what it is calling the “world’s first foldable PC” at its Accelerate 19 conference in Orlando, Florida. Currently in prototype, the device may form part of Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 family should the Chinese PC maker decide to eventually launch it as a shipping product.

Dell may well be working on a fix for S3 sleep with the XPS 15 9570, but the device still has numerous outstanding issues too. One such problem is high battery drain and overheating when asleep, and Dell now has a rather counter-intuitive workaround.

The mobile GeForce GTX 1650 is just 5 to 10 percent slower than the average GTX 1060 according to 3DMark benchmarks while costing a few hundred dollars less. It's a worthy successor to both the GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti as the mobile GTX 1660 Ti is currently overpriced for what it offers.

Apple has apparently delisted the LG UltraFine 5K Display from its online retail store. This could possibly mark the end of the product and might be a harbinger of Apple selling its own professional-grade monitor. Rumors are flying that Apple will soon release a 31.6-inch 6K display for use with the Mac Pro desktop.

Anker has released details on its new PowerIQ chips to control its upcoming charging accessories. The OEM asserts that they are compatible with QuickCharge 3.0 and PowerDelivery (PD) platforms that charge at up to 100 watts (W). However, the first PowerIQ 3.0 product will be a 60W 2-port charger that can be used with a MacBook.

The previously Intel-exclusive ThinkPad T Series will now have second generation Ryzen Pro options for faster graphics performance and cheaper starting prices. AMD wants to prove that its latest processors can go toe-to-toe with Intel on higher-end business laptops and Ultrabooks.
