Dell has upgraded the entry-level G3 15 laptop with 10th gen Intel H-series CPUs and GPU options up to the RTX 2060. The Dell G3 15 3500 now also comes with an optional 144 Hz display and an optional 4-zone RGB backlit keyboard. The G3 15 3500 will be available from May 21 at prices starting from US$779.99.
The Dell Gaming series offer an affordable configurations for gamers and the G3 has been the entry point to this series. The last generation G3 15 3590 have offered CPU options up to the Core i7-9750H and GPU options up to the GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q. This year, Dell has upgraded the G3's internals to make it more competitive and capable while still retaining the customizability that the Gaming series is known for.
The new G3 15 3500 offers two CPU options between the Core i5-10300H and a Core i7-10750H. GPU options include a choice of either the GTX 1650, GTX 1650 Ti, GTX 1660 Ti, or the RTX 2060. Both single and dual-storage SSD and HDD options are available (refer spec sheet below). Display options include FHD displays with 200 nits and 300 nits 60 Hz panels and an optional 300 nits 144 Hz panel.
Port selection varies depending on the SKU. For models up to the GTX 1650 Ti, USB Type-C with DisplayPort in Alt-Mode is available along with 1x1 Gigabit Ethernet. Models featuring the GTX 1660 Ti onwards offer a Thunderbolt 3 port, a mini-DisplayPort, and a 2x2 Killer E2500 v2 Gigabit Ethernet port.
The G3 15 3500 includes Game Shift to modulate system performance based on gaming workload and also comes with the Alienware Command Center that allows several customization options including customizing the optional 4-zone RGB lighting on the keyboard. Nahimic 3D Audio provides enhanced audio tailored for gamers.
The Dell G3 15 3500 will be available in black and white color options and will be available from May 21 with prices starting from US$779.99.
