AMD has introduced the Radeon Pro 5600M GPU for the Apple MacBook Pro 16-inch. The Radeon Pro 5600M is a Navi 12 GPU with 40 CUs, 2,560 SPs, and features a multi-chip design with 8 GB HBM2 memory. MacBook Pro 16 configurations with the Radeon Pro 5600M will have a US$700 upcharge.

Xiaomi has launched a wide range of affordable laptops for the Indian market. Intel has finally detailed the Lakefield family of processors based on the Foveros 3D packaging tech. Early reviews of the Ryzen 4000-based Dell G5 15 Special Edition (5505) gaming laptop have started appearing, with most praising the AMD Renoir APU and others impressed by the 144 Hz display. However, there are hints that the cooling solution of the Dell G5 15 SE could be flawed, especially when dealing with a Ryzen 9 4900H chip.

Dell has released the XPS 17 9700 and Precision 17 5750. The devices start at US$1,399.99 and US$2,399 respectively. However, you must spend US$1,899.99 if you want a dedicated GPU with the XPS 17 9700 and at least US$2,849.99 for an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q model.

Laptop manufacturers often offer their devices with different CPU options. With Intel processors, i5 and i7 models are usually available in addition to Core i3. But do users really need the higher performance?

The UX425 is a version of the ZenBook 14 touted to come with either Ryzen 4000 or Intel Core i7-1065G7 processors. Details of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Notebook 14 have started leaking out. Intel CEO Bob Swan suggested moving away from traditional benchmarks to focus more on the benefits and impact of technology. NexDock has announced its next laptop dock, the NexDock Touch. As its name implies, the NexDock Touch has a touchscreen, which is contained within a 1080p and 14-inch IPS display. The Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3i, also called the Chromebook Flex 3i, is now purchasable for US$329.99. The affordable and convertible Chromebook features an 11.6-inch IPS touchscreen, 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and up to 64 GB of storage.

The Tiger Lake-U Intel Core i7-1165G7 and the Renoir AMD Ryzen 7 4800U have been spotted in an interesting 3DMark 11 comparison. An AMD Ryzen 4000 Renoir-powered laptop made by LG is coming to market. Featuring up to a Ryzen 7 4700U processor and 16 GB of dual-channel DDR4-3200 RAM, the laptop carries the model number 15U40N.

At the very least, the manufacturer should have a disclaimer saying that the renders — which are currently being used to advertise the laptop — may not represent the laptop fully.

Intel has announced that a raft of processors based on the Coffee Lake architecture have reached the end of their life. This new notice encompasses Core i3-, i5- and i7-8xxx CPUs. It also extends to certain Pentium Gold and Celeron desktop chipsets.
