The March 2019 Steam Hardware & Software Survey has been posted by the software distribution platform, and as usual things look rosy for Nvidia in the video card usage category. Three of the top six places in terms of percentage increase over the month are occupied by GeForce RTX 20 series products, with last month’s missing RTX 2060 now taking the top spot.

Mysterious Nvidia GPU performs between a GeForce RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 on UserBenchmark

An Nvidia graphics card has turned up on UserBenchmark with the prosaic name “graphics device”. The results in the benchmarks for the hardware are somewhat surprising, as the GPU seems to land somewhere between the GeForce RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 in terms of performance average. There was mention of a GeForce RTX 2070 Ti once before, but this was eventually explained away as a typo.

According to a new report by DigiTimes, the uptake of 7nm chips from TSMC was at its lowest 2019 ebb in the first quarter of this year (1Q2019). However, the company expects its orders to push its relevant processes to their full capacity in 3Q2019. The firm has also started using the improved EUV method for the production of 7nm dies.

A new HWBOT World Record has just been set in 3DMark’s popular Time Spy benchmark. Intel Core i5-9300H turns up on Geekbench as part of Acer ConceptD CN715-71 system

It seems Intel’s Coffee Lake CPU, the i5-9300H, has made an appearance on Geekbench. The chip was part of a listing for a model mysteriously titled “Acer ConceptD CN715-71”. The upcoming 9th Gen processor achieved a single-core score of 5,091 and a multi-core score of 16,145 points. This particular CPU has four cores and eight threads.

Exciting leak shows 2019 Acer Nitro laptops with 9th Gen Intel CPUs and mobile GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and GTX 1650 GPUs

Acer is planning on fitting some of its upcoming Nitro laptops with GPUs from Nvidia’s Turing-based GeForce 16 series and 9th Gen Coffee Lake Intel Core processors. A leaked slide names the Acer Nitro AN515-54 and Acer Nitro AN517-51 models, with various display and GPU options for each one. The leak has seemingly confirmed mobile versions of the GTX 1660 Ti and GTX 1650.

A clock rate of 2,940.0 MHz has been recorded for a customized GeForce RTX 2080 Ti graphics card. The hardware was specially prepared as part of the Galax OC Gathering 2019. The incredible clock rate was measured as part of a GPUPI 1B benchmark test, which also resulted in the system achieving a very credible mark of 2 s 691 ms.

Set to become the entry-level model of the Turing generation, the upcoming GTX 1650 appears to be almost as fast as the GTX 1050 Ti from the previous gen in the latest Final Fantasy XV benchmarks. A GTX 1660 Ti-powered MSI GL63 8SD gaming laptop gets listed on Vietnamese retail sites

Following the recent leak of a Dell G5 15 laptop featuring the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, a few Vietnamese PC retail sites have started listing the MSI GL63 8SD gaming laptop powered by the new Turing GPU indicating that an official launch of the new card is imminent. Apart from the availability of the GTX 1660 Ti option, the rest of the specs of the MSI GL63 are the same as what we've seen during its announcement at CES 2019.

Dell launches G7 15, Alienware m15, and Alienware Area-51m gaming laptops in India

Dell has announced that the G7 15 gaming laptop, the Alienware m15 notebook, and the powerful Alienware Area-51m computer are now available to customers in India. The devices can currently be ordered from the website for Dell India, and they will be made available in retail outlets such as Reliance Digital and Croma from April 1.

Alienware Area-51m with GeForce RTX 2080 and i7-9700K achieves amazing score in 3DMark Fire Strike

An Alienware Area-51m laptop with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 GPU and an Intel Core i7-9700K processor has recorded a very impressive score of 25,039 in 3DMark’s Fire Strike 1.1 test. According to the chart details for the run, this puts this particular system ahead of 98% of all other results. The Graphics score was 30,306.
