Lenovo brings the new supercharger GeForce GTX 1650 to its IdeaPad S540 laptop
Lenovo has been updating its Product Specifications Reference (PSREF) tool to show that the IdeaPad S540-15IWL laptop will offer future buyers the chance to experience Turing-based graphics technology, as the device will come with the option of having an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 GPU fitted inside. Some country-specific sites have already started publishing webpages for this GTX 16-series laptop, which include details about its features and specifications.
On the Lenovo UK site, the IdeaPad S540-15IWL with Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 also comes with up to an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor (i7-8565U), up to 12 GB RAM, and up to a 512 GB PCIe SSD for storage. Dual-action fans are installed to help keep temperatures down and the 15.6-inch IPS display offers a Full HD resolution. An integrated graphics option from Intel is also listed.
No price is offered on the UK site for this particular SKU at the moment, although compared to gaming laptops from other OEMs it’s likely the Lenovo IdeaPad S540 with GeForce GTX 1650 will turn out to be reasonably affordable. Lenovo claims the laptop with the “new supercharger” graphics will have a starting weight of 3.96 lbs/1.8 kg and offer up to 12 hours of battery life. Specifications for the S540-15IWL may vary depending on the region.
