IFA 2019 | Lenovo announces refreshed IdeaPad S340 13-inch with Intel Comet Lake and NVIDIA MX250 options

After having announced IdeaPad S-series with AMD Ryzen Zen+ options at MWC earlier this year, Lenovo is now offering a refreshed IdeaPad S series with Intel 10th gen Comet Lake-U and NVIDIA GeForce MX250 options. While the IdeaPad S series announced at MWC had 14 and 15-inch displays, Lenovo is introducing a 13.3-inch display at IFA 2019.

The new IdeaPad S340 13-inch weighs just 1.3 kg and comes in three color options — Liquid Blue, Platinum Grey, and Sand Pink. You get CPU options starting from the Intel Core i3-10110U all the way till the Core i7-10510U, RAM options up to 16 GB, NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD options up to 512 GB, and GPU options up to the MX250. The 13.3-inch display sports an FHD resolution and covers 72% NTSC color gamut while offering a peak brightness of 300 nits. There is no Wi-Fi 6 onboard, but you do get a 2x2 wireless-AC card with Bluetooth 5.0.

Port selection is very basic and includes a couple of USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A ports, one HDMI 1.4-out, and a combo audio jack. For some reason, Lenovo chose to omit USB Type-C ports and the SD/microSD card reader, which we feel is a bad idea. A 42 Wh battery with rapid charge and up to 8 hours of theoretical battery life completes the specs.
