Dell Vostro 13 5390 and Vostro 15 7590 now available sporting thinner form factors and MX250 or GTX 1650 graphics
Accompanying the new Precision and Latitude refreshes this week is the new Vostro refresh. Dell will be launching two new mid-range Vostro models each sporting brand new chassis designs and the latest 9th gen Intel CPUs and Nvidia GTX 16 GPUs.
The first model is the 13.3-inch Vostro 13 5000 5390 that Dell is promising to be the "thinnest and lightest Vostro ever" for business professionals. This is made possible by its 3-sided narrow bezels, 14.9 mm thickness, aluminum outer lid, and 1.18 kg weight to be even lighter than Dell's own XPS 13 9380. CPU options range from the Whiskey Lake-U Core i3-8145U up to the Core i7-8565U with optional GeForce MX250 graphics. System RAM is soldered and non-upgradeable while the M.2 SSD can be swapped as needed.
The second model is the larger and more powerful 15.6-inch Vostro 15 7000 7590. This costlier system utilizes more aluminum for a stronger first impression with narrow bezels to keep weight and dimensions in check. In contrast to the 15 W U-class CPUs and MX250 GPU of the Vistro 13 5390, the Vostro 15 7590 includes 45 W Core i9-9880H CPU and GeForce GTX 1650 GPU options for significantly faster performance.
Displays options for both the new Vostro models will be limited to 1080p.
Expect the Vostro 13 5390 and Vostro 15 7590 to launch on May 16 for a starting price of $850 and $1150, respectively.
