The Asus Zephyrus G GA502 is a new entrant into the Zephyrus family with the aim of introducing ultra-slim gaming to a wider audience. The GA502 is powered by the 4C/8T AMD Ryzen 7 3750H APU and is complemented by the just announced GeForce 1660 Ti GPU. Such a combination should allow for efficient multitasking as well as enhanced battery life.
The GA502's 15.6-inch FHD display sports slim bezels and comes in both 60 Hz and 120 Hz options. The chassis is well-built and weighs just 2.1 kg. The overall design with a brushed metal finish on the lid and diamond-cut chamfers caters to both gamers as well as pro users.
Asus brings forth some of the cooling improvements we've seen in other ROG launches today to the GA502 including multiple heat pipes, self-cleaning mechanism, and thin-blade yet high density fans. The GTX 1660 Ti can boost up to 1335 MHz at 60 W when the Turbo mode is enabled. The extra speed boost should help in better utilization of the 120 Hz display for smoother gameplay.
The Zephyrus G GA502 is Hi-Res audio certified and can output high quality 7.1-channel virtual surround. Connectivity options include 3x USB 3.1 Gen1 Type-A and 1x USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C with charging and DisplayPort 1.4-out capabilities. There is no Thunderbolt 3 port and the wireless AC speeds are limited to 1x1 speeds.
The Asus Zephyrus G GA502 is available from today worldwide. Pricing and configurations vary by region.
