NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready driver 430.64 comes with day-one support for Rage 2 and Total War: Three Kingdoms, 18 percent performance boost in World War Z
NVIDIA is back with a new driver package, but this time there is no major hardware release to go with it. The NVIDIA GeForce Game Ready Driver 430.64 is now available for a wide range of compatible video cards and comes with one-day support for two titles and a noticeable performance boost for a third one.
To be more specific, the 430.64 driver package brings one-day support for Rage 2 and Total War: Three Kingdoms, but it also increases the performance of the Vulkan renderer in World War Z by up to 18 percent. This performance increase has been recorded when playing the game on a GeForce RTX 2080 Ti in full HD resolution. The performance gains are smaller when using other cards and higher resolution, ranging from 3 percent to more than 10 percent (in full HD mode, the GTX 1660 Ti, RTX 2060, RTX 2070, and RTX 2080 managed to hit at least 10 percent).
In addition to the above, the new driver package also comes with minor tweaks and optimizations. Sadly, the PhysX System Software and HD Audio Driver components have not been updated. As usual, the new GeForce Game Ready WHQL drivers can be download through NVIDIA's GeForce Experience app or directly, from this page, in the shape of a single, 536.75 MB download.
