The Acer Predator XB323K combines the best of both worlds, a professional monitor by day and a gaming monitor by night. The Predator XB323K covers 99.5% of AdobeRGB, 99% of DCI-P3 and has a Delta E calibration of less than 1. However, it also offers a 4K native resolution, a 144 Hz refresh, two HDMI 2.1 ports and VESA DisplayHDR 600 compliance.

This 14-inch portable monitor promises sRGB coverage for just $199 USD. It's one of the most color accurate monitors for its category and price, but the dim backlight a real bummer.

Hisense has announced that a version of its smart TV UI, VIDAA, is the world's first to pass the requirements for a TÜV Rheinland Privacy by Design Certification. The Chinese manufacturer OnePlus has patented an idea for a smart TV that incorporates a rotating pop-up camera in its body. While other companies have already released televisions with static pop-up cameras, this OnePlus smart TV would be able to track a user who was moving around a room or viewing space.

It's one of the cheapest 75 Hz 34-inch curved gaming monitors we've seen with colors that go beyond the sRGB gamut. If you don't game in 4K, then its relatively low 2560 x 1080 native resolution should pair well with most budget to mid-range PCs.

LG has reportedly chosen a slightly odd moniker for its next generation of products. It has trademarked the term Plate, and has done so in various different iterations that suggest the new line is to be applied to a range of display panels. OnePlus India has revealed that it will add a new member to its Y series of smart TVs soon. It has also already confirmed some of its specs ahead of its imminent launch, its 40-inch size, Dolby Audio support and 20W speakers included. It will debut via Flipkart on May 24, 2021.

HP has introduced the Omen 25i gaming monitor recently featuring a VESA DisplayHDR 400 and AMD FreeSync support. The Omen 25i is a FHD 165 Hz display that offers several software enhancements including Dynamic Crosshair, Edge Precision, Eye Ease, and Shadow Vision. The Omen 25i also includes a Game Remastered mode for enhancing old school PC and console classics.

CTL, a company that normally caters to the needs of modern offices or schools in its devices, has announced a pair of monitors touted to match up to this reputation. The 24-inch FHD IP2381 has a VA IPS panel, whereas the IP2781 is an ADS QHD 27-inch display. They both have the same new minimalist stand and bezels, however.

AUO is now able to make 32-inch AMOLED screens with the inkjet printing technology that requires far fewer materials and also reduces production costs. The current 4K 144 Hz panels are said to be brighter and offer a wider color gamut compared to conventional OLEDs produced by LG. On the other hand, the rollable displays come with dual-side screens, and each screen is now 50% thinner, while maintaining the same brightness. These 5.6-inch screens are more durable, allowing for more than 100,000 rolls at 9 mm curvature.

The Huawei MateView GT features a soundbar, a lightbar and a 34-inch panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio. The 1440p display also runs at up to 165 Hz and has a 4,000:1 peak contrast ratio.

Microsoft is yet to repurpose the Surface Studio as an external monitor, but the Huawei MateView comes close to realising that dream. The MateView has a 3:2 aspect ratio, a 28-inch panel size, a 4K native resolution and plenty of built-in ports.

OnePlus' CEO, Pete Lau, has reportedly told several journalists that his company is planning to launch its smart screens in Europe soon. The OEM now has several TVs to its name, but has yet to sell any of them in that region. However, it now seems to believe that the time to start is at hand,

TCL's latest press event served to unveil next-gen displays for the TVs, rollables or laptops of the near future. OPPO's latest product event was a bumper update for its device ecosystem in general. Not only did it introduce the new K9 smartphone, but it also revealed the new TVs of the same name. The Enco Air TWS earbuds also debuted at the show, as did the Vitality Edition of the OPPO Band.

Lenovo has teased what could be the rumored Yoga X tablet on its Weibo account with a very interesting new capability. The new tablet is pictured hooked up to a Nintendo Switch over an HDMI port allowing it to do double duty as a portable monitor.

The president and CEO of Sony's PlayStation division Jim Ryan has announced that users will soon be able to connect their Discord accounts via the social aspects of the console's Network. The OEM has also just bought a minority stake in the chat-app company, as a result of its current capital-raising drive. The exact nature of the new Sony/Discord integration is now slated to be revealed in the next few months.

The Acer Nitro XV252QF is a 24.5-inch gaming monitor with an exceptionally high refresh rate. According to Acer, the Nitro XV252QF can reach 390 Hz, dwarfing the refresh rates of most gaming monitors.

A key supplier in Apple's mini-LED supply chain has stated that it will significantly increase its mini-LED production in preparation for "two upcoming mini-LED-backlit MacBook Pro models." This news gives legs to long-standing rumors of mini-LED 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros.

Rumour has it that Huawei plans to release two MateView monitors soon; one aimed at gamers and the other at professionals. The latter has already leaked, while the former is reportedly a 42-inch monitor with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 165 Hz refresh rate.

Trust has announced that its latest Taxon webcam has a QHD (2560x1440) sensor. It also features auto-focus for its high-res lens, as well as dual mics and a USB plug-and-play nature. It has been released to Amazon in the UK for £69.99 (~US$97), or £48.99 (~$68) for a limited time.

The ViewSonic ColorPro Professional Monitor is a display with its own in-built click-wheel control that doubles as a calibration sensor. This feature, along with others such as a "minimalist" build, easy-attach shade hood and inbuilt ambient light, has won it an iF Design Award for 2021.

In a new video posted earlier today, Eve claims that HDMI 2.1 on its Spectrum gaming monitor is now working. The video shows Spectrum connected to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 via an HDMI cable and running at 3840x2160 at 144 Hz, which is only possible on HDMI 2.1. The video noticeably does not show content or gaming at this resolution on Spectrum, and it should be noted that the video is limited to 1920x1080 at 30 Hz, making verification impossible. While many are skeptical of this achievement, it may be that Spectrum now supports HDMI 2.1.
