LG has showcased the StanbyME, one of two TVs revealed today. The StanbyME measures 27-inches across and has an LCD panel, rather than the OLED Evo ones that the Objet series has. As LG's marketing images show, it intends the StanbyME to be used as a lifestyle TV, rather than as a regular Smart TV that you would place in a living room.
Accordingly, LG has integrated a battery, a touchscreen layer and a stand that allows you to rotate the TV when needed. Theoretically, the TV should be easy to move from room to room and has the potential to be used in retail stores. Supposedly, the StanbyME should last up to three hours when running on battery power.
Unsurprisingly, the 27Art10 has HDMI and USB ports, but it can also wirelessly stream content from Android or iOS devices. LG is yet to reveal how much the StanbyME costs nor when it will be available. Purportedly, the TV will appear again alongside the Objet (65Art90) at CES 2022 in January.
