Roborock has introduced new robot vacuum cleaners at CES 2022. Marketed as the S7 MaxV, the vacuum cleaners will arrive as the S7 MaxV, S7 MaxV Plus and the S7 MaxV Ultra. Essentially, all models are beefed up versions of the Roborock S7 that the company released last year, which may explain their higher prices relative to the Roborock S7.
According to Roborock, all S7 MaxV models have 5,100 Pa of suction power and support the company's new ReactiveAI 2.0 obstacle avoidance system. In a press release, Roborock explains that the obstacle avoidance system relies on a 3D light scanner and an RGB camera to navigate around objects like slippers. Supposedly, all models should cover up to 300 ㎡ areas during a 180-minute runtime when operating in quiet mode. The S7 MaxV has a 400 ml dustbin too, along with a 200 ml water tank capacity.
Like the Roborock S7, the S7 MaxV can mop a room as well as vacuum it. Also, the vacuum can lift its mop if it detects a carpet, matching its predecessor. Fundamentally, the S7 MaxV trio only differ in their docks, or lack thereof. Roborock states that the S7 MaxV Plus can automatically empty the dock's dustbin, which the S7 MaxV Ultra supplements with automatic mop washing and tank refilling.
The Roborock S7 MaxV series will be orderable from Q2 2022. So far, the company has confirmed that the S7 MaxV Ultra will cost US$1,399.99 in the US and €1,399 in the Eurozone. In comparison, the S7 MaxV Plus will cost €999, with the standard S7 MaxV coming in at €799.
