Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S to launch globally next month with a 108 MP triple camera
Only a few months have passed since Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Note 11 series in China. Initially, the company revealed three models, the Redmi Note 11, Redmi Note 11 Pro and the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus. Subsequently, Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 11 in India as the Redmi Note 11T 5G. It will soon complement the Xiaomi 11i HyperCharge, an Indian version of the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus too.
According to 91mobiles, Xiaomi also plans to release the Redmi Note 11S globally, seemingly the successor to last year's Redmi Note 10S. Apparently, the Redmi Note 11S will appear in Europe, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore; an Indian launch remains unknown at this stage. 91mobiles adds that the Redmi Note 11S should debut in February.
Supposedly, the Redmi Note 11S has a MediaTek 5G SoC and three rear-facing cameras. 91mobiles claims that the device will feature a 108 MP primary camera, plus an 8 MP ultra-wide and a 2 MP tertiary sensor. As far as we can tell, these specifications match those of the Redmi Note 11 Pro and the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus, which both feature a Dimensity 920 SoC and a 120 Hz AMOLED display.
Presumably, Xiaomi will begin teasing the Redmi Note 11S within the next few weeks if a February launch is on the cards. If the Redmi Note 11S is the global version of the Redmi Note 11 Pro, it should appear in India as the Xiaomi 11i. Pricing for the Redmi Note 11S has not leaked yet, though.
