Xiaomi confirms MIUI 13 update roadmap for first and second batch devices with China ROMs

Xiaomi has confirmed its MIUI 13 update schedule for devices using Chinese ROMs. The closed beta has already started rolling out for select devices and the OEM hopes to start rolling out a stable build of MIUI 13 by the end of January. Mi MIX Fold owners will have to wait until the end of April for a closed beta update.

MIUI 13 has been officially revealed and Xiaomi has been busy compiling a comprehensive list of smartphones and other smart devices that will receive a form of the software over the coming months. Phones have been split into first and second batches, with the closed beta version naturally followed by the public beta version before the stable update is pushed out. This information is for devices with the Chinese ROM, but it will give a rough idea about timeframes for other regions.

The first group of smartphones and tablets involved in the MIUI 13 closed beta rollout have been divided into two batches:

Closed beta first batch (began December 29, 2021)

  • Xiaomi 11, Xiaomi 11 Pro, Xiaomi 11 Youth Edition, Xiaomi 11 Ultra
  • Xiaomi 10, Xiaomi 10 Pro, Xiaomi 10S, Xiaomi 10 Extreme Edition, Xiaomi 10 Youth Edition
  • Xiaomi Civi, Xiaomi MIX 4, Xiaomi CC9 Pro
  • Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro, Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition
  • Redmi K30, Redmi K30 5G, Redmi K30 Pro, Redmi K30 Extreme Edition, Redmi K30S Extreme Edition, Redmi K30i 5G
  • Redmi 10X, Redmi 10X Pro
  • Redmi Note 11 5G
  • Redmi Note 10, Redmi Note 10 Pro
  • Redmi Note 9, Redmi Note 9 4G, Redmi Note 9 Pro
  • Xiaomi Pad 5, Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 5G

Closed beta second batch (rollout date to be decided)

  • Redmi Note 11 Pro, Redmi Note 11 Pro+

The public beta rollout for MIUI 13 has been penciled in for mid-January 2022 for the first batch, while devices in the second batch have to wait for their rollout date to be confirmed:

By the end of January, Xiaomi expects to have stable versions of MIUI 13 rolling out for the following devices that are using a China ROM:

Stable build first batch (end January 2022)

  • Xiaomi 11, Xiaomi 11 Pro, Xiaomi 11 Ultra
  • Xiaomi Pad 5, Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro, Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 5G

It seems development of MIUI 13, including the testing phase, will take a little longer for the Mi MIX Fold, with the software update scheduled to arrive for the foldable phone by the end of April, 2022.
