Smach Z prototype gets tested: Challenges GPD Win 2 3DMark scores and may offer 32 GB RAM and Ryzen Embedded V1807B SoC

A prototype of a Smach Z handheld game console has been unboxed and tested in a YouTube video posted by The Phawx. The device was put through its paces in three 3DMark benchmarks and managed to outscore the GPD Win 2 in all three tests. It’s now possible to reserve one of the handhelds for as little as US$10.

Movado Connect 2.0: A smartwatch with Wear OS and 1 GB of RAM

The hitherto unknown Movado Connect 2.0 has been discovered in a recent FCC listing. The Wear OS smartwatch comes with 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage and will be powered by either a Snapdragon Wear 2100 or a Wear 3100.

A Samsung Galaxy S8 reportedly helps avert a potential tragedy at sea

According to a new report, a Canadian citizen was able to call for help for himself and his island-hopping fellow tourists using his Samsung Galaxy S8, the only device that apparently survived when their boat capsized off the coast of the Phillippines. The victims of this event were also able to signal their location using the phone's GPS.
