The Dell XPS 17 9730 has been announced with a 17-inch 4K 16:10 screen, an Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070, Intel Core i9-13900H, 32 GB of 4,800 MT/s RAM, and a 1 TB NVMe SSD, with prices starting at US$3,749/CA$5,049. Other configurations with lower-end hardware will be available later this year.

The Dell XPS Desktop 8960 can now be configured with Intel Raptor Lake processors, up to 64 GB of DDR5 memory, Nvidia Turing/Ampere/Ada Lovelace and AMD RDNA 2/RDNA 3 graphics cards, up to a 1,000 Watt power supply and liquid cooling.

Dell has refreshed its XPS 15 offering this year with the new XPS 15 9530. The XPS 15 9530 continues to feature the same chassis that was first offered by the XPS 15 9500. The upgrades this year are mainly with respect to the Intel 13th gen processor options up to the Core i9-13900H and new Nvidia RTX 40 GPUs up to a 40 W RTX 4070. An Arc A370M option is available as well.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 series will soon be available in Europe. A leaker has now shared photos and a datasheet concerning all models destined for release, ranging from the Redmi Note 12 to the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus, with the Redmi Note 12 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro in between.

Steam is now also available on Chromebooks. But the software is still in its beta stage. We installed Steam on an Asus Chromebook Flip CX5 to test out how well the program runs right now and found that some well-known games in our Steam library are playable on this Chromebook.

The Xiaomi Digital Car Key feature was revealed at MWC 2023. The tool, developed in partnership with Google and BMW, will allow you to control various BMW cars from a Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 12 Pro or Xiaomi 12 smartphone. Features include locking, unlocking and starting your vehicle and the ability to share your key with friends.

The Ryzen 7040 Phoenix-HS APUs combine a Zen 4 CPU with an RDNA 3 Radeon 780M/760M iGPU. The Radeon 780M on the Ryzen 9 7940HS and the Ryzen 7 7840HS features 12 Compute Units (CU) while the Radeon 760M on the Ryzen 5 7640HS boasts 8 CUs. Now, AMD has quietly reduced the GPU clock speeds as well as cut PCIe Gen 5 support from the upcoming Ryzen 7040-HS APUs.

The average Tesla Model 2 selling price is expected to be US$27,000 before subsidies, say industry analysts. The length of a Model 2 could be 4m, or 15% shorter than the current Model 3, too. To arrive at its projected US$21,600 production price, it could also be 30% lighter and with 25% smaller battery, which would result in a similar range on a charge as the Model 3.

AMD announced the Zen 4 Ryzen 7000X3D parts at CES 2023. The processors include the Ryzen 9 7950X3D, the Ryzen 9 7900X3D, and the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. AMD lifted the Ryzen 9 7950X3D’s review embargo on February 27 and per independent reviews, the CPU is a beast in gaming. The Ryzen 9 7950X3D is also reportedly miles ahead of the Core i9-13900K/KS in FPS per watt.

The Sony Xperia 5 V has likely taken a recent trip to Geekbench, where not only did it reveal a handsome RAM upgrade but also thrashed the Xperia 5 IV in single-core and multi-core testing. Sony likes to describe its Xperia 5 phones as “compact”, although it is probable that the Xperia 5 V will come in at over 6 inches.

Both the 55-inch and 65-inch model variants of the high-end Quantum-Dot OLED TV Sony A95K have now hit their lowest price points thus far after receiving discounts of up to 35% in comparison to their original MSRP.

Eufy has launched the Security SmartTrack Card in the EU. The slim 2.4 mm (~0.09-in) thick gadget, already available in the US and UK, is similar to an Apple AirTag. You can track the device using Apple Find My app, with the ability to send left-behind alerts and find your phone even when it is on silent.

XGIMI has launched the H6 4K projector in China. The device has up to 120 Hz refresh and a 12 ms latency in gaming mode. You can use the projector to throw images up to 120-in (~305 cm) wide with 1,200 CCB (~2,400 ANSI lumens) brightness. Other features include optical lossless zoom and Apple AirPlay.

For the first time, we have subjected the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 in MSI's Katana 17 B13V to extensive analysis. The new graphics chip proved itself to be clearly faster than the RTX 3060, however, it also lags significantly behind the top-of-the-range RTX 4090.

Qualcomm asserts that drivers and passengers will be just as connected and entertained as they would be at home in a oneday car powered by its second-gen Snapdragon Auto 5G modem. It integrates a multi-core CPU as well as potentially enhanced bandwidth so that it can run apps independently for applications such as gaming or streaming. The new modem also boasts satellite connectivity and C-V2X for greater assurance in terms of positioning and safety.

AGM Mobile asserts that its latest 5G smartphone can handle applications beyond most devices of its rugged class - possibly even those of a search-and-rescue nature - thanks to its new and apparently ground-breakingly long-range thermal camera. The G2 Guardian also boasts relatively premium features such as a 120Hz display, Wi-Fi 6 and up to 12GB of RAM.

The release of the Forerunner 265 series nears, with Garmin planning on introducing the Forerunner 265 and Forerunner 265S as 46 mm and 42 mm smartwatches, respectively. According to new leaks, both will come in three colours and will launch for US$449.99. Key specifications for both models have leaked too, as has retail packaging for the Forerunner 265.

A potential launch date for the Motorola Razr (2023) has leaked online. If correct, it would see the Razr (2023) launch months before its predecessor did last year. The Razr (2023) will build on the Razr (2022) with a much larger cover display and a refined design.

Honor has introduced the Magic5 as part of its MWC 2023 presentation. According to the company, the Magic5 will be available in Q2 2023 with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a 120 Hz and high-resolution display, modern cameras and a larger battery, among other features.

Honor has presented the Magic5 Pro as part of its MWC 2023 showcase. Revealed alongside the Magic Vs and the Magic 5, the Magic5 Pro will take on the likes of the Galaxy S23 Ultra and Xiaomi 13 Pro when it arrives next quarter. While the Magic5 Pro will be cheaper than both its competitors, it will still retail for over €1,000.

Xiaomi is now offering the Watch S1 Pro globally, six months after releasing the smartwatch in China. The Watch S1 Pro comes in two finishes, as well as a round AMOLED display, long battery life and Xiaomi's proprietary operating system.

The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra was revealed at MWC 2023. The new model has a 70 km (~43 miles) range and a 25 kph (~16 mph) top speed thanks to a 940 W peak power motor. Improvements on its predecessor include dual suspension, a wider deck and taller handlebars for a more comfortable ride.

Xiaomi unveiled the Wireless AR Glass Discovery Edition at MWC 2023. The gadget has a micro OLED display with up to 1,200 nits brightness and electrochromic lenses which can turn black. You can use the device to watch content in an immersive environment or use gestures to interact with physical and virtual objects in your space.

Xiaomi has released the Xiaomi 13 Pro outside China. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is a force to be reckoned with thanks to its flagship hardware and the Sony IMX989 from the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. The Xiaomi 13 Pro is not far off the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra in terms of pricing, though.

The Honor Magic Vs has been launched globally with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, SoC, 7.9-inch OLED screen, 512 GB storage, 50 MP triple rear cameras and a 5,000 mAh battery. It will be available for purchase sometime in Q2, 2023, for €1,599.

At MWC, Lenovo is introducing the second generation of its ThinkPad Z series. ThinkPad Z13 Gen 2 and Z16 Gen 2 both look a lot like their predecessors, but they receive a new haptic trackpad made by Sensel. This marks the first time that Sensel provides their complete technology stack for a laptop trackpad.

The Xiaomi 13 Lite is the global version of the Xiaomi CIVI 2. As such, the Xiaomi 13 Lite has a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset and a 6.55-inch AMOLED display. However, it also means that the Xiaomi 13 Lite launches with Android 12, not Android 13. Xiaomi has downgraded the Xiaomi 13 Lite in one area compared to the CIVI 2 too.

Insiders familiar with the matter revealed that at least 200 Twitter employees were laid off on Saturday night. Since the company had about 2,000 employees last week, this would account for about 10% of its remaining workforce. Back in October, when Elon Musk took over, about 7,500 people were working at Twitter.

OnePlus is showing off its much-hyped OnePlus 11 Concept phone at MWC 2023. The OnePlus 11 Concept features Active CryoFlux, which is OnePlus speak for liquid cooling technology powered by micro piezeoelectric motors. The CryoFlux flows along a glowing LED-lit pipeline along the back of the phone and around the camera module giving the phone a distinctive futuristic appeal.

Qualcomm has announced partnerships with some of the best-known OEMs in the Android smartphone world to bring Snapdragon Satellite connectivity to next-gen consumer-grade handsets. The new "two-way capable messaging solution" will be compatible with SoCs for multiple tiers of the smartphone market, and may be used for purposes besides emergency texts.

Lenovo is introducing a refreshed ThinkPad E14 Gen 5 along with a new 16-inch ThinkPad E16 Gen 1 at MWC 2023. The new ThinkPad E Series now offer Intel 13th gen and AMD Ryzen 7030 options along with new 16:10 displays, an improved keyboard, a larger touchpad, and up to a 57 WHr battery.

Lenovo launched the ThinkPad L13 Gen 4 and ThinkPad L13 Yoga Gen 4 at MWC 2023 today. The L13 and L13 Yoga now feature upgraded internals to Intel 13th gen Raptor Lake and AMD Ryzen 7000 along with a few added display options including ones with low blue light emissions. Memory comes soldered on both Intel and AMD variants.

From the hands of American workers being too big to operate battery equipment machines made in Asia, to the need to retrain them how to make things after years of production outsourcing, Panasonic had a hard time creating a Tesla battery factory in the US. Its next cell plants, however, are already planned to scoop the government's tax credits.

Lenovo asserts that it offers a range of generationally improved Chromebook functions with this new IdeaPad Slim 3 variant. It boasts a potentially color-accurate FHD display, front-firing speakers and up to 13.5 hours of battery life. The new PC supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, and starts under the equivalent of US$380.

Lenovo asserts that its new IdeaPad Duet 3i is an ideal student 2-in-1 PC, with its light chassis that packs a generationally-upgraded display and a battery rated for up to 8.5 hours of battery life with fast USB type-C charging. It boasts the latest Intel platforms for its form-factor, with support for Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1.

Lenovo's fourth-gen range of larger ThinkPad L-series laptops have made their MWC debut with up-to-date processors in both Intel and AMD flavors. Either option comes in relatively lightweight, cost-effective packages - although the new L14 and L15 have made some potential compromises to attain their attractive starting prices.

Lenovo has announced the ThinkPad Z13 Gen 2 and ThinkPad Z16 Gen 2 at MWC 2023. Both laptops feature 16:10 IPS/OLED screens, AMD Ryzen 7000 processors, two USB 4.0 ports and LPDDR5x memory. The Z16 Gen 2 goes on sale in August, and the Z13 Gen 2 in July.

Lenovo has announced its newest ThinkCentre Tiny-in-One (TIO) Gen 5 monitor at MWC 2023. It is available in two configurations (21.5-in/23-in) with an FHD (1,920 x 1,080) LCD panel, one DP 1.4 port, one HDMI 1.4 port, and an integrated webcam. It goes on sale in August 2023, starting at €299 (US$316).

Lenovo's concept devices with working expandable displays have come to take part in the ongoing MWC event. One could form the basis of a next-gen ThinkBook or IdeaPad one day, whereas the other might ship as a mobile device from the OEM's brand Motorola.
