Milk-V has released the Meles, a RISC-V-based single-board computer built around the form factor of the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B. The Milk-V Meles retails for US$99 and comes with LPDDR4X RAM, Wi-Fi 5 connectivity, a 40-pin GPIO header and various ports, among other features.

The Meles is Milk-V's attempt at a single-board computer (SBC) modelled on the form factor of the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B. Arriving hot on the heels of the Mars CM, the Milk-V Meles relies upon the TH1520, a quad-core RISC-V 64GCV C910 SoC that can boost to 2 GHz when needed. According to Milk-V's website, it has paired the TH1520 with LPDDR4X RAM clocked at 4266 MT/s, either in 8 GB or 16 GB combinations.

Additionally, the Milk-V Meles has an eMMC slot, a MicroSD card slot and the following ports:

  • 1x 3.5 mm jack
  • 1x 40-pin GPIO header
  • 1x HDMI 2.0 (4K/60 FPS)
  • 1x 4-lane MIPI CSI
  • 1x 2-lane MIPI CSI
  • 1x 4-lane MIPI DSI
  • 1x RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet
  • 4x USB 3.0 host
  • 1x USB 2.0 Type-C

Moreover, the 85 x 56 mm board offers Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 5 connectivity, as well as a 2-pin fan header, plus recovery and reset keys. Currently, the Milk-V Meles is listed out of stock on Arace in its 8 GB of RAM SKU. However, Milk-V states that it plans to offer the SBC through Xiaoetong soon. Please see Milk-V's website for more details.
