(Update: Now even cheaper) The almost maxed-out configuration of the MacBook Pro 14 from 2021 has become considerably more affordable as a reputable online retailer has introduced a gigantic 39% discount for the Apple M1 Max-powered multimedia notebook.

Apple has already refreshed its successful MacBook Pro lineup earlier this year, which means that prospective laptop buyers do not have to hold their breath in anticipation of next week's Wonderlust keynote. Instead, bargain hunters who are in the market for the MacBook Pro 14 with a copious amount of RAM and mass storage may want to consider an ongoing deal at B&H Photo Video.

The New York City-based retailer is currently selling the MacBook Pro 14 variant with the impressively efficient Apple M1 Max SoC with 32 GPU cores and a massive 64GB of RAM for US$2,499 instead of the original price of US$4,099. This sale applies to the silver and Space Gray color variants of the sought-after notebook, which is further equipped with a spacious 2TB SSD. Even more importantly, this deal offers a sizable discount of 39 or US$1,600 percent relative to Apple's MSRP of the 2021 MacBook Pro 14, which is no longer available at the company's official online store.

Shoppers should make sure to check out our in-depth review of the MacBook Pro 14, which contains numerous benchmarks of the aforementioned Apple M1 Max chip. Although the processor does not perform quite as well as in the bulkier 16-inch sister model, this notebook is extremely quick and further offers a long battery life, excellent 120Hz Mini-LED panel and a sturdy chassis. However, new owners of the Apple laptop should also brace themselves for constant PWM flickering, the rather controversial display notch as well as soldered components with basically zero maintenance options. Nonetheless, for users who need a large amount of memory and storage, this deal provides a much better bang for the buck than the updated 2023 version of this device.

Update: MacBook Pro 14 gets even bigger discount

The retailer has dropped the price of the 14-inch MacBook Pro M1 by another US$200, which results in an all-time low price of US$2,299. Please note that this additional discount will only be available until the end of today, September 7.
