One of UGREEN’s latest power accessories is intended for use as a desktop station. It has 4 ports, 2 of which are USB type C and rated for up to 100W Power Delivery each. Therefore, it should work as a charger for some ultrabooks, even MacBook Pros. How does it do in everyday-style testing?

Built around the community. When the original Framework Laptop launched last year, one of its key promises was the ability for owners to upgrade to newer processors with just a simple swap of the motherboard. The manufacturer is standing firm on its claims with the 2022 refresh.

Exhilarating. The Intel Core i9-12900H, which is already powerful on its own, is not only supported by Nvidia's premium graphics card. The extensive connectivity and a very distinct cooling system also indicate that the laptop is striving for the highest performance. Transition to Intel is expensive. Huawei has now furnished the multimedia notebook MateBook 16 with an Intel processor and calls it the MateBook 16s. Buyers also get a Thunderbolt 4 port, a state-of-the-art Wi-Fi 6E module, and a bit more key travel. Other than that, there isn't much of a difference. Does that justify a price increase of 500 Euro (US$510)?
