Successful fresh cell therapy? Lenovo leads off the annual update of its business lineup with the ThinkPad X250. New Broadwell processors are to make the compact, 12.5-inch laptop faster and more efficient than ever before. But is that enough to coax owners of the former model to change? We provide a first peak of our upcoming review.

Refusal to compromise… You can’t have it all—or can you? Dell’s latest XPS 13 pushes the envelope in a number of different critical categories, but most notably portability: this is the smallest 13.3-inch notebook we’ve reviewed. Could we be witnessing the best ultraportable to date?

Return of the Silver Surfer.External subwoofers and sophisticated cases are the trademarks of the Asus N-series. However, neither the concept nor the design of the notebooks has really changed over the last few years – our review of the Asus N751JK-T4144H shows why there are even small regresses this time.

Long-lasting and cool. Toshiba's 15.6-inch laptop is powered by an AMD APU. The Satellite achieves good battery runtimes owing to its relatively low power requirement, operates quietly, and it barely heats up.

Evolution instead of revolution. The Dell Latitude is equipped with Intel's latest CPU generation Broadwell and wants to get the top spot in the business segment, currently occupied by the Lenovo ThinkPad T440s. What are the advantages of the modern 14-nm technology for the user and does the 14-inch notebook have any other highlights – we tested it.

Quiet and cool. The Satellite C70D-B-10X provides its owner with a basic 17.3-inch office laptop. The device attracts attention with both its low temperatures and noise level. Installing an energy-efficient AMD APU is worthwhile in this case.

Bay Trail Office. The Asus X751MA offers a simple 17.3-inch laptop with a Pentium CPU. The performance is not powerful, but the laptop offers a lot of storage space and 8 GB of RAM.

Silver entertainer. Asus introduces an overall well-designed, representative all-rounder in stylish aluminum looks to the upper-range for approximately 1000 Euros (~$1134). It is even possible to risk a game owing to the GeForce GTX 850M. Only the choice of processor is questionable. Our in-depth report reveals how the device fares in the single tests.

Business Broadwell.The Latitude E5550 features an elegant case, good battery life, very good input devices, a docking port, an IPS display and a powerful Broadwell CPU. In addition, it is easy to maintain. It is not difficult to see that the computer primarily aims at business users. Thanks to its affordable price, the device is also attractive for consumers.

Product maintenance. Fujitsu has updated its mobile workstation Celsius H730 for 2015, and improved some aspects. Our in-depth review shows what you can expect in addition to the minor CPU upgrades.

Simple. Are 15.6-inch devices too big, and do you need a portable machine for outings? If you are not a perfectionist, Acer's 14-inch laptop with eight hours of battery life could be the ideal TravelMate for you.

Chromebook with Intel Inside. Boot up, log in and start working - the Chromebook makes life easy. Lenovo offers an Intel-based 11.6-inch Chromebook. This small, mobile device has a matte panel and long battery life.

Connected EU traveller. The HP 11 X360 is an entry-level 2-in-1 with a 3G roaming data bundle that could suit many European travellers. With a touchscreen and a solid build this bold laptop might be the perfect buddy for your ticket.

Black, stylish, fast. HP launches a very compact and thin 15.6-inch gaming notebook with the Omen, which has a very good design and attracts gamers with powerful core components. The price of 1,600 Euros (~$1793) comes with high expectations for the ergonomics and the performance, but not all of them can be fulfilled.

Inexpensive all-rounder. A Core i3 processor and GeForce 820M graphics core make the Asus laptop a versatile all-rounder that offers enough power for everyday use and playing the odd game. Could buying a device for around 450 Euros (~$505) be a mistake?

Desktop competition. A desktop processor in a 15-inch notebook, can it work? This is the question for the Schenker XMG U505. We review the high-end device with a GeForce GTX 970M and a 65-Watt CPU.

Orange is the new black. Is the distinctive design and lucent orange color enough for the Chimera to stand out in the crowded mobile gaming space? We dig deeper to find that this is more than just a flashy chassis.

Slimmed down. Toshiba is charging about 410 Euros (~$485) for their Satellite C50D-B-125, a simple office computer that runs on an AMD APU. Is the computer worth the cash, when comparable Bay Trail notebooks are available at considerably lower prices?

Gold piece for gamers? The MSI GS60 is now available with a 4K display and Maxwell GPU, the current update uses the fast GeForce GTX 970M. Our review will show if everything is gold that glitters at the GS60.

High-end class. Nvidia launches its new gaming model right at the beginning of the New Year. We already had the chance to check the performance of the GeForce GTX 965M. Is this the end of the GeForce GTX 860M?

Little business partner. Following the positive rating of Dell's Latitude E5450 product line, we tested the 12.5-inch Latitude E5250. However, it did not completely fulfill the high expectations.

Quality for little money? Asus wants to put the competition under pressure with affordable business laptops and equips its new 14-inch flagship with the currently fastest ULV processor, plenty of working memory, and a swift SSD to accomplish that. We will reveal why it is nevertheless not enough for first place in the category.

Black, red, silver. MSI's slim gamer GS70 gets an update. The new generation is now equipped with the GeForce GTX 970M, and MSI has also thought of striking colors for the chassis. However, the fan noise and temperatures are striking as well – our review tells you why.
