PlayGalaxy Link is a feature of some Samsung Galaxy flagships by which PC gaming can be done on these devices via a streaming connection. Or was, rather: the OEM has announced that it will wrap this resource up by March 27, 2020.

Lenovo may continue to advertise the ThinkPad X1 Gen 2 with a GeForce GTX 1650 GPU in many regions, but that is simply not the case. While the device's GPU has always performed like a GTX 1650 Max-Q, an NVIDIA driver update confirms that this is the case.

There are indications that Asus may incorporate Zen 2-based APUs besides the Ryzen 7 4800HS in the new ROG Zephyrus G14 notebook. They include the 9 4900HS-based variant, which has been listed by a Danish e-tailer - as has the also-rumored 5 4600HS SKU. This site also now claims to have pre-sales pages for new TUF Gaming- and ROG Strix-series laptops.

The Geekbench 4 and 5 results for an AMD Ryzen 5 4600H APU in an Asus TUF Gaming laptop have been shared online, and they help demonstrate the performance improvements brought by the Zen 2 microarchitecture. In Geekbench 5, the Renoir chip scored 1,116 points (single core) and 6,337 points (multi core), putting it ahead of the older Ryzen 7 3750H and i7-8850H.

AMD says its new octa-core Ryzen 7 4800U will make no compromises in regards to processor and graphics performance whereas Intel users will have to choose between faster graphics performance (Ice Lake) or faster processor performance (Comet Lake-U).

AMD has added the Ryzen 9 4900H and Ryzen 9 4900HS to its list of Ryzen 4000 APUs. While the H-series is rated at a 45W TDP and is OEM-configurable, the HS series will have a default 35W TDP and be available only to select OEM partners whose laptops pass AMD's validation and testing. AMD is pitting the Ryzen 9 4900HS against the Intel Core i9-9880H and according to internal benchmarks, the APU has managed an impressive show so far.

A new laptop from Dell’s G Series has been revealed, and it is packed with the latest technology from AMD. The Dell G5 SE (Special Edition) will bring a high-performance Ryzen 4000 H-series processor in combination with the RDNA-based AMD Radeon RX 5600M mobile graphics card with it. The Dell G5 SE should be available in the second quarter of 2020.

An AMD Ryzen 9 4900H APU with Radeon Graphics has been spotted alongside an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 performing well on the Ashes of the Singularity benchmark. The frame-rate measurements were high, with an average of all the batches recorded at 75.5 fps. The Renoir APU is listed as having 8 cores and 16 threads to call upon.

It has been reported that new laptops featuring one of Nvidia’s SUPER mobile GPUs and an Intel 10th Gen CPU will be made available in April. A whole range of SUPER mobile graphics cards, from the GeForce GTX 1650 all the way up to the RTX 2080, is expected to be announced. The Nvidia SUPER desktop counterparts have been popular with gamers.

Microsoft has announced that those with Samsung Galaxy S20-series devices can also now use their Windows 10 PCs for rich communication services- (RCS) enabled messaging. GPD has uploaded a brief video clip of a Win Max handheld computer being put through its paces with a gaming session of The Witcher 3. The company claims the video was leaked, but it seems more like a handy tidbit of promotional material in reality. Reaction has been generally positive, although there is some concern about the device’s ergonomics.

While the iPhone SE 2 may have been put on hold, the MacBook Air 2020 could be arriving as early as next week. The device, which received a minor update last year, is said to be using scissor switching keyboards this year. The MacBook Air 2020 is likely to receive a processor upgrade too, although it may still remain within the Amber Lake-Y family.

A Time Spy Graphics Score for a Ryzen 7 4800HS APU has shown just how much AMD has managed to improve the iGPU performance for the Renoir generation of processors. The new Ryzen 4000 mobile chip managed to score 1,089 points, which placed it ahead of Picasso APUs like the Ryzen 7 3780U and Ryzen 7 3700U even though they have more compute units (CUs).

While Lenovo remains unsure about which GPU it has included in the ThinkPad X1 Extreme Gen 2, NVIDIA has confirmed that it is not the regular GeForce GTX 1650. As expected, Lenovo has included a GTX 1650 Max-Q instead. While NVIDIA is releasing a new driver to address the confusion, it may be months before it arrives on most X1 Extreme Gen 2 machines.

Well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects the upcoming MacBook Pro and MacBook Air line to be fitted with scissor switch keyboards owing to the good feedback received from users of the 16-inch MacBook Pro. Kuo also predicts that Apple will start using its own custom SoCs in MacBooks to be released in late 2020 or early 2021 along with a complete redesign of the MacBook lineup in late 2021.

A hexa-core AMD Ryzen 5 4500U APU has managed to achieve a higher score on Geekbench 4’s multi-core test than the quad-core Ice Lake Intel Core i7-1065G7. Although the latter Intel SoC is streets ahead of the Ryzen 4000 processor with its single-core score, its multi-core result of 18,772 points is not quite enough to fend off the Ryzen 5 4500U on 18,819 points.

It looks like Lenovo is clearing stock of its last generation Yoga C930 2-in-1. If you have no use for the improved GPU potential of the Intel 10th gen Ice Lake series, then the 8th gen Kaby Lake-R series will be just fine.

A number of Asus TUF Gaming laptops and Asus ROG devices powered by Renoir chips from AMD's Ryzen 4000 series have been spotted on Newegg Canada and the Canadian retailer Memory Express. Although the listings have all been removed now, it seems these Ryzen 4000 laptops will be released within a few days and are priced from CAD$899 up to CAD$2,499.

At least three Asus laptops have been listed on the Amazon China website revealing that AMD Ryzen 4000 laptops are finally arriving. The 17.3-inch Asus TUF FA706IU Gaming laptop features the AMD Ryzen 7 4800H APU while both the 14-inch ROG Zephyrus G14 GA401II and 14-inch ROG Zephyrus G14 GA401IU laptops come with AMD’s Ryzen 7 4800HS.

An AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS processor has been spotted being tested on the 3DMark 11 benchmark. The APU, which was recently leaked by a retailer listing for an Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 laptop, manages reasonably healthy physics scores ranging from 13,735 points to 14,590 points. However, this puts the Ryzen 9 4900HS behind its fellow Renoir chip, the Ryzen 7 4800H.

Leaked benchmarks indicate the business-focused AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 4650U as having an edge over the Ryzen 5 4500U SKU in 3DMark Time Spy. AMD has been comparing the Ryzen 4000 U-series to Intel Ice Lake-U and a leaked Cinebench R15 score shows the Ryzen 5 4500U as having a significant lead in the test.

The Optoma UHD50X is a new projector rated for images of a 4K UHD resolution and a refresh rate of up to 240 hertz (Hz). It also has a brightness of 3400 ANSI lumens and is HDR10- and HLG-compatible. Intel's upcoming 45W 10th gen Comet Lake-H processors, the Core i7-10750H and the Core i5-10300H, have surfaced on the PassMark benchmarking site. The Core i7-10750H seems to offer a nearly 40% performance boost when compared to its predecessor, the Core i7-9750H. The gains brought forth by the Core i5-10300H are comparatively modest when compared to the Core i5-9300H.

The full specifications for the GPD Win Max handheld computer have been published online. The gaming device features the Ice Lake Intel Core i5-1035G7 and 16 GB of LPDDR4 RAM @3733 MHz. However, it is details such as the backlit QWERTY chiclet keyboard, the presence of a Thunderbolt 3 port, and the diminutive 8-inch form that have been exciting fans.

Save yourself a few hundred dollars without sacrificing all that much processor performance. The brand new Intel 10th gen Core i7-10510U isn't all that much faster than the older Core i7-8565U or i7-8665U that Lenovo has been offering since early last year.

Laptops are getting thinner, lighter and more compact every year. A positive trend – though it sometimes also results in the loss of valued features.

Intel has had a rough trot with chip-level security flaws in the past couple of years and it seemed as though it had gotten on top of them. Unfortunately, security researchers have discovered a new chip-level vulnerability affecting most Intel CPUs made in the past five years but this time it doesn’t look like a software patch will fix it.

The 14-inch Lenovo convertible is above average in almost all aspects to be one of the better 2-in-1 laptops at its price point. Unfortunately, we think the soft feedback of the keyboard keys could be a little firmer and more ThinkPad-like.

A PCMark 10 battery life test result of an AMD Ryzen 7 4800U-powered laptop has leaked online. Although specific details about the laptop itself are not available, the test seems to indicate a runtime of 13 hours 52 minutes on a 70 Wh battery. This is a very good runtime and probably higher than most Intel-powered counterparts. The result is also not too far away from what a typical Snapdragon 8cx-powered WoA laptop would score.
