This may be the most affordable 4K laptop available, but there is a catch: it comes equipped with 5-year-old Skylake CPUs. Chuwi claims that the dual-core / quad-thread CPUs are still decent for productivity tasks and light content creation. Other specs include 8 / 16 GB of LPDDR4-2133 RAM and 256 / 512 GB SSD storage.

Apple has just unveiled the new MacBook Air model, but the specifications list on the official website did not disclose the full processor options. It appears buyers of the MacBook Air 2020 will be able to select from a choice of new Ice Lake SoCs: Intel Core i3-1000NG4, Intel Core i5-1030NG7, and Intel Core i7-1060NG7. Ice Lake may well still be finding its way into laptops, but more examples of the Tiger Lake architecture are appearing online. One such benchmark listing has a 10 nm Tiger Lake chip challenging the GPU performance of the Ryzen 7 4800U, one of AMD's premier Renoir APUs.

An AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS has been spotted being put through its paces on Geekbench 5. The Ryzen 4000 APU was part of an Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 laptop. The 8-core Renoir chip amassed decent single-core scores of 1,135 and 1,164 points and multi-core scores of 7,444 and 7,544 points in two separate tests. This puts it on a very fair footing with the Coffee Lake Intel Core i9-9880H.

Asus has equipped its compact Zenbook with a four-core processor and a dedicated graphics chip. There is a lot to like about the other features as well: Matte IPS display, NVMe SSD, 16 GB of RAM (dual-channel mode), backlit keyboard. On top of that, the battery life is outstanding.

GPD has put its Win Max handheld computer through extensive testing in regard to its gaming capabilities. The company has measured FPS rates for numerous games and has come up with some great results that should attract plenty of customers.
