Razer pre-orders for Blade 15 GeForce RTX 3060 to 3080 now open starting at $1699 USD
Razer has begun accepting pre-orders for its 2021 Blade 15 refresh having just announced the configurations less than a week ago at CES 2021. At least 8 configurations are available ranging from the Core i7-10750H to Core i7-10875H CPU, GeForce RTX 3060 to RTX 3080 GPU, FHD to QHD or OLED 4K display, and 512 GB to 1 TB NVMe SSD. Note that the Advanced Model options will be slightly thinner than last year's GeForce RTX 20 Advanced Model while the Base Model options will have exactly the same dimensions as the previous generation Base Model.
Interestingly, the pre-orders are not expected to be fulfilled until March 3 when the Razer units finally ship. In comparison, the first GeForce RTX 30 laptops are coming out later this week or early February from the likes of Asus and MSI including the MSI GS66 which competes directly with the Razer Blade 15. The MSI systems come with the same range of GeForce 30 GPUs but without the new QHD panels as of this writing that will be present on the Razer.
Our first taste and in-house benchmarks for the mobile GeForce RTX 30 series will subsequently come from Asus, MSI, and possibly Gigabyte laptops rather than Razer. Keep in mind that Nvidia will be dropping the Max-Q advertising name as well meaning laptops with the "same" GeForce GPU may perform more differently from one another due to their potentially wider TGP gaps.
