Razer has begun shipping its latest accessory today targeting MMO gamers and even office multi-taskers who can't get enough macro buttons on their thumbs. The new Naga X mouse is recognizable for its 12 individual buttons on the side much like on the existing Naga Trinity mouse.
The main difference between the Naga X and older Naga Trinity is that the Naga X is not modular to save on costs and weight. As a result, the Naga X retails for about $20 cheaper than the Naga Trinity at launch while weighing almost 30 percent lighter (85 g vs. 120 g). It also incorporates a newer Razer 5G Advanced Optical sensor for increased maximum sensitivity (18000 vs. 16000), a newer optical switch type to improve expected lifecycle by 40 percent (70 million clicks vs. 50 million clicks), and PTFE feet for smoother glide. Thus, even though it's cheaper than the Naga Trinity, the Naga X isn't necessarily the inferior version.
The chassis design and Chroma RGB colors are otherwise almost the same between the two mice.
