M1X Mac mini to join the M1X MacBook Pro 14 and MacBook Pro 16 in fourth-quarter release but iMac Pro with Apple Silicon might take longer

The Schenker Vision 14 shows, what a modern Ultrabook should look like

Thin and less features - many modern laptops have to make compromises in the hunt for every millimeter. The Schenker Vision 14 now shows that there is another way. In addition to plenty of ports, you also get replaceable RAM modules and two M.2 slots in a 1 kg magnesium chassis.

Xiaomi RedmiBook Pro 15 (2021) in review: Affordable laptop with strong features

83% Xiaomi RedmiBook Pro 15 (2021) in review: Affordable laptop with strong features

Looks good on the outside but how about the inside? The Xiaomi RedmiBook Pro 15 is quite something with its stylish aluminum case and 242 ppi Super Retina display. Its internals also look impressive on paper. A fast Intel Core i7-11370H quad-core CPU, an Nvidia GeForce MX450 GPU, 16 GB of DDR4 RAM, and a 512 GB SSD should result in a fast device. However, the Xiaomi laptop shows some irregularities in the test.

Lenovo ThinkPad P15s G2: Workstations with ULV CPUs are getting better and better

In earlier years, the energy efficient "Ultra Low Voltage" CPUs of the U series hardly offered any performance, but manufacturers still packed them into workstation laptops. Even though the modern U processors are still considerably slower than H CPUs, at this point their absolute performance is high enough for new models such as the ThinkPad P15s Gen 2 to be able to deliver sufficient power for CAD applications.

79% Asus VivoBook Flip 14 TP470EZ Convertible Review: A good all-rounder with Iris Xe Max as its Achilles heel

Xe, but not so Max. As one of the first Intel Iris Xe Max-powered devices, the Asus VivoBook Flip 14 aims to bring a lot to the table for the mid-range laptop user. The VivoBook Flip 14 is not without caveats and the Xe Max dGPU throws up its own shenanigans. However, we also get decent hardware for the price along with adequate performance to boot. How well do these add up in the larger scheme of things? Let's find out.

HP Pavilion 15 (2021) Laptop Review: 11th Gen Intel and GeForce MX450 Combo

81% HP Pavilion 15 (2021) Laptop Review: 11th Gen Intel and GeForce MX450 Combo

Do Iris Xe and GeForce MX make a good team? The latest Pavilion 15 is powerful for a budget laptop, but the $1000+ asking price straddles the line between what we would consider "budget" in the first place. Users will have to really value the discrete GeForce MX450 if they choose this Pavilion over alternatives.

Nvidia sneaks DLSS 2.2 update with latest Rainbow Six Siege patch

No official release notes for now, but some reddit folks already managed to port the updated files to games that already support DLSS and noticed no fps performance increase. However, the new version does fix some visual artifacts and further improves image quality. Rainbow Six Siege is supposed to get an fps boost of up to 50% in 4K, but the implementation is not that good as HUD elements are displayed at rendering resolution instead of native resolution.

Early AMD Radeon RX 6600M leaked tests show somewhat slower overall performance compared to the Nvidia RTX 3060 mobile GPUs

It also falls behind by up to 13% in 1440p games and is significantly slower in ray tracing games. This SKU will no doubt be ignored by crypto miners as it is slower than the previous gen RX 5600M model.

Dell has confirmed that it intentionally disabled CUDA cores on the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 in the Alienware m15 R5. The company has pledged to return all missing CUDA cores to the gaming laptop by the middle of this month, which should give it a noticeable performance boost compared to what it currently offers.
Update: Dell has enabled all the RTX 3070's CUDA cores with a vBIOS update.
