The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Founders Edition will have irregular-shaped PCBs, NVIDIA has teased. 12-pin and backwards-compatible connectors are inbound for Ampere cards too, as is the leaked cooler design. The RTX 3090 will have 24 GB of GDDR6X VRAM, while the RTX 3080 must make do with 10 GB of VRAM. There will be no RTX 3080 Ti for the time being, though.

TSMC hints at securing Apple SoC production deal including 2 nm chips for the next 5 years

The Taiwanese foundries are already building a new R&D center for 2 nm technologies and beyond in Hsinchu, which should be ready some time in 2021. The exact timeline for the 2 nm volume production is not yet known, but TSMC reports that it has been collaborating with some of its customers on the development of this advanced node. Market analysts claim that Apple will be first to launch 2 nm SoCs thanks to a five-year production deal with TSMC.

The Zenfone 7 is here, and it has a sibling, the Zenfone 7 Pro. The two devices have 6.67-inch and 90 Hz AMOLED screens, three rotating cameras and 5,000 mAh batteries. However, the Zenfone 7 Pro also has OIS on two of its three cameras and a Snapdragon 865 Plus instead of the Snapdragon 865 with which Asus has equipped the Zenfone 7. Both smartphones will arrive in Europe on September 1, but there is no talk of a US release.

Intel has been emphasizing the need to move away from traditional benchmarks for quite some time now. HTC is now rumored to launch the Wildfire E Lite, a study in basic Android phones, soon

A new listing on the Google Play Console reportedly points to the imminent launch of a new HTC Wildfire E series member. This Lite variant apparently runs on an appropriately budget MediaTek processor and has 2GB of RAM. It may even have a traditional chin and forehead on its front panel.

Google's temporary license to work with Huawei has expired, which may be bad news for the OEM's older phones

Google applied for a temporary general license (TGL) in order to keep older Huawei devices compatible with its Android app ecosystem even after this OEM was placed on the US administration's Entity List in May 2019. However, this TGL has now expired, leaving the future function of many phones worldwide in some doubt.
