Last year, Dell introduced the Latitude 12 7210 Detachable and the Latitude 13 7310 laptop based on Intel Comet Lake-U offerings. Now, Dell is offering the Latitude 13 7320 Detachable with upgraded internals, a brighter display, and AI-accelerated Dell Optimizer enhancements.
On first look the Latitude 13 7320 Detachable looks very similar to the Microsoft Surface Pro X starting with the display and kickstand right down to the Active Pen holder that is ensconced within the optional detachable keyboard. The similarities end there, however.
The Latitude 13 7320 Detachable offers up to Intel 11th gen Core i7 vPro processor options. Up to 16 GB LPDDR4X-4266 RAM comes soldered, so buyers have to choose their configuration wisely. There are no higher capacity RAM config choices available either.
The display is a 13-inch 3:2 FHD+ touch panel with 500 nits brightness and a Super Low Power mode. A Corning Gorilla Glass DX Touch layer lends protection to the display. Dell offers a slew of SSD options from 128 GB to 1 TB, but all of them are M.2 2230 variants. Buyers can also choose to have a 256 GB self-encrypting drive (SED) NVMe option.
Unlike the vast majority of laptops in the market, the Latitude 13 7320 Detachable comes with a 5 MP 1080p FHD webcam that can record video at 30 fps. A Windows Hello-compliant IR camera is optional. An Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 card provides 2x2 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. There is no 5G support, but the Latitude 13 7320 Detachable can be configured with a Snapdragon X20 LTE modem for 4G LTE WWAN connectivity.
Since the Latitude 13 7320 Detachable is primarily a tablet, Dell offers just two USB Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4. Additional port selection will therefore require the use of dongles. A 2-cell 40 Wh battery powers all the innards.
As is with all of Dell's business announcements today, the Latitude 13 7320 Detachable also makes good use of AI-powered Dell Optimizer software to speed up system functions and improve overall responsiveness.
The Dell Latitude 13 7320 Detachable will be available from March 30 starting from US$999.
