CES 2021 | Dell intros U2422H and U2422HE 24-inch UltraSharp monitors
Although many consider Full HD to be an outdated resolution in 2021, Dell keeps it around for the new 23.8-inch UltraSharp monitors labeled U2422H and U2422HE. Almost identical at first sight, the feature that sets them apart is the USB hub present in the U2422HE that includes RJ45 and 90 W power delivery via USB-C.
The list of common specs and features includes ComfortView Plus (Dell's low blue light hardware solution), 100% sRGB and 85% DCI-P3 IPS panel with 178-degree viewing angle and Full HD resolution, platinum silver finish, excellent cable management, as well as support for the Dell Display Manager software solution that provides features designed to improve multitasking on both single and multiple monitor setups.
The Dell U2422H and U2422HE UltraSharp monitors are made of 85% PCR (post-consumer recyclable plastic) and come with a 3-year limited hardware warranty. However, the Dell Premium Panel Exchange allows a free replacement during this period even if a single bright pixel is found.
Availability and pricing can also depend on the area and local Dell retailers, so keep an eye on your favorite online and offline stores if you consider buying one of these two monitors. However, most home users should probably look at higher resolution, larger displays. Dell will have them available on March 30 for US$359.99 (U2422H) and US$459.99 (U2422HE).
