The attack of the 12-core! The Ryzen 3000 series has already impressed us, and now it is the turn of the 3900X to show us what it is capable of. Eight cores and still economical! AMD has continuously improved and optimised its Zen architecture since its inaugural release in 2017, with the company having just released its third generation in as many years. AMD manufactures its Zen 2 processors on the modern 7 nm process, which offers higher IPC than Zen+, among other improvements. Consistent. The HP Gaming Pavilion 15 handles all modern games with ease on its matte 15.6-inch 1080p display thanks to its powerful hardware. The device can even make use of its 144 Hz refresh rate while remaining comparatively quiet too. 16 GB of dual-channel DDR4 RAM keeps the system ticking over, as does the 256 GB NVMe SSD.

3 TB with SSD/HDD combo. Lenovo has given the Legion Y540 a small hardware upgrade and now included a GeForce RTX graphics card within the slim case. The space left for storage devices is very large. Conspicuously subtle. Lenovo's mid-range gaming laptop is able to run all current PC games smoothly on its matte 17.3-inch screen (144 Hz, FHD, IPS), thanks to its Core i5-9300H processor and its GeForce GTX 1660 Ti graphics card. A maintenance hatch allows users to easily swap the RAM and storage. The iGPU, which is disabled by default, can be enabled via the BIOS to improve battery life.

Well balanced. Thanks to its Core i5-9300H CPU and GeForce GTX 1650 GPU the Omen 15 is capable of running all current games smoothly on its matte 15.6-inch FHD IPS display, and as a bonus it comes with an NVMe SSD and a decent battery life. If only the display was not so dim.
