Fancy a ~1.3 kg ultrabook but do not fancy paying MacBook Air prices? Well, the MagicBook 14 may be worth a look if you live in the UK. Starting at £549.99, the MagicBook 14 still looks the part with its aluminium chassis. Fans of cutting-edge hardware may want to look elsewhere, though.

Launched in Europe last month and in China last year, Honor is now bringing the MagicBook 14 to the UK. Available on Amazon and Argos from April 7, the MagicBook 14 will start at £549.99.

The MagicBook 14, as its name suggests, wears its influences on its sleeve. Featuring an aluminium design and tipping the scales at 1.38 kg, the MagicBook 14 is a much cheaper alternative to the recently-refreshed MacBook Air

Design, name and weight aside, the MagicBook 14 has three USB ports, a full-sized HDMI port, a 3.5 mm jack and a pop-up webcam. Honor has equipped the device with a 56 Wh that it claims will last up to ten hours on a single charge, too.

The MagicBook 14 will seemingly only be available in one SKU for the time being. According to Amazon and Honor, the laptop will feature a Ryzen 5 3500U processor, 8 GB of DDR4 RAM and a 256 GB SSD. Honor sells a Ryzen 7 3700U model in China, for reference.
