Honor has confirmed that at least ten smartphones will receive Magic UI 3.0, the company's version of EMUI 10. According to a press release, the following devices will be upgraded to Android 10 this year:
- Honor 8X
- Honor 9X
- Honor 9X Pro
- Honor 10
- Honor 10 Lite
- Honor 20
- Honor 20 Lite
- Honor 20 Pro
- Honor View 10
- Honor View 20
Of those ten, Honor has stated that the Honor 20, Honor 20 Pro and View 10 will all be upgraded this week. The Honor 9X will receive the OS upgrade "gradually" too, albeit without a definitive timescale in place. Oddly, Honor insists that Magic UI 3.0 remains in "development and testing" for the other seven handsets. However, the Honor 10, Honor View 10 and Honor 8X have already started receiving Android 10 in some regions.
There is no such luck for devices like the Honor 8A, Honor 8A Pro, Honor Play and Honor Play 8A, though. All launched on or upgraded to Android 9.0 Pie, the quartet are absent from the list of supported handsets. The same applies to the Honor 8S. These could receive Android 10 at a later date, but Honor has not said that the OS upgrade is even in development for these devices.
