A few days ago, we reported that Huawei was still sending out the Android 10-based EMUI 10 update to its Kirin 980-powered smartphones globally. The company is now going a step further with the EMUI 10 rollout by pushing the update to its older flagships featuring the Kirin 970.
According to a report by PiunikaWeb, owners of the Honor and Honor View 10 in India are currently confirming receipt of the EMUI 10 update. The updates hit the Honor View 10 and Honor 10 with the OTA version "10.0.0.152". The update weighs 4.57 GB on the Honor 10, and 4.41 GB on the Honor View 10.
Since Huawei is now pushing the update to its Kirin 970-powered, we expect the Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, P20, and P20 Pro to be next in line. In fact, according to Huawei, the update should be rolling out right now for the P20 Pro. There's been nothing in the way of confirmation for that claim, though, but we expect something to come up soon. Watch this space.
Of course, the Honor Play was another Kirin 970-powered phone. Unlike its peers, though, Huawei has no plans to release Android 10 for it, and that's a shame.
Thank you for showing your interest for Android EMUI 10. We would like to inform you that Stable version of Android 10 / EMUI 10 for Huawei P20 Pro device has been recently released.
