Huawei is continuing with the rollout of EMUI 10 at a breakneck pace. The Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, P30 and P30 Pro have already started receiving the update globally, which will soon be joined by a bevvy of other Huawei and Honor devices. Announced on Weibo, the Chinese company is beginning to roll out the Android 10-based upgrade to the following:
- Huawei Mate 20 X 5G
- Huawei P20
- Huawei P20 Pro
- Huawei Mate RS Porsche Design
- Huawei Mate 10
- Huawei Mate 10 Pro
- Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design
- Huawei Nova 4e/P30 Lite
- Huawei Enjoy 10 Plus/Y9 Prime 2019
- Huawei Enjoy 9s/P Smart 2019
- Huawei Maimang 8/P Smart+ 2019
- Huawei Maimang 7/Mate 20 Lite
- Honor 20i
- Honor 10 Youth Edition/Honor 10 Lite
The eagle-eyed among you will have counted only fourteen devices. The final two are the Honor 8X and nova 5 Pro, but Huawei has only announced beta versions of EMUI 10 for these devices. Please note that these updates likely only apply to Chinese handsets, with updates for other regions likely following in the coming weeks and months.
EMUI 10 introduces multiple new features, including a system-wide dark mode. Huawei claims that the Android 10-based OS has over 25% lower latency response than EMUI 9.1, and 55% lower latency fluctuations too. EMUI 10 also brings GPU Turbo and Phone Clone improvements along with revised animations, among other changes.
