The Huawei P30 Pro is now receiving the stable Android 10-based EMUI 10 update
A number of OEMs have sent out the Android 10 update to their devices. However, the list of those to have sent out the full, stable update is currently limited to Google, OnePlus, Asus, Xiaomi, and Essential. Huawei has now joined that exclusive company, as owners of the P30 Pro are confirming receipt of the stable Android 10-based EMUI update.
Of course, it makes sense that the P30 Pro is the first Huawei device to receive the update. After all, it's the company's most premium phone still on Android Pie—the Mate 30 phones run Android 10 out of the box. At the moment, only Chinese models of the phone are getting the update. That's typical, and we expect the update to be sent out to European models over the next few weeks.
EMUI is pretty much the heaviest skin out there, and it always shows in the OTA sizes. This Android 10 update, for example, weighs in at an absolutely stupendous 4.99 GB. We're not even sure why it has to be that heavy; OnePlus's OxygenOS updates typically come in under 2 GB.
