Huawei P30 Pro New Edition with Google Mobile Services set to be available in Germany from May 15
While the Huawei P40 series earned rave reviews for the camera setup and other hardware, the absence of Google Mobile Services (GMS) on the device was seen as a major lacuna in an otherwise excellent device. The P30 Series was the last Huawei offering to offer official Google services support prompting Huawei to re-introduce the P30 Lite as the P30 Lite New Edition earlier this year. Looks like, the Huawei P30 Pro will also be getting a similar treatment.
The P30 Pro New Edition with Google Mobile Services is expected to be available from May 15 in Germany in association with Vodafone. Another promotion named "Klingt Genial" (German for "Sounds Awesome") is also available in Germany, which entitles buyers to a gift of the Huawei Freebuds 3 if the purchase is made before May 31.
We are not exactly sure what are the internal hardware changes in the P30 Pro New Edition. The P30 Lite New Edition came with upgraded storage and extra megapixels for the front camera. The original P30 Pro already offered up to 8 GB RAM, 256 GB storage, and a quad-camera setup at the rear, so a 12 GB RAM and 1 TB storage option seems likely in the P30 Pro New Edition. Other changes, if any, can be expected to be minimal and not groundbreaking.
The worldwide availability of the P30 Pro New Edition is not yet known as Huawei itself hasn't officially announced it. The only mention of the phone is in the material for a promotional offer in collaboration with Vodafone and Otelo in Germany.
