EMUI 10 global rollout continues with updates to the Nova 5T, P30 Pro, and Mate 20 Pro
Huawei's Android 10 rollout slowly continues. The company has sent out the update to owners of the P30, P30 Pro, Mate 20, and Mate 20 Pro. One thing all of those phones have in common is the SoC they feature, as they're all powered by Huawei's last-gen flagship, the Kirin 980. The Android 10-based EMUI 10 update is now also rolling out to the Nova 5T.
The Nova 5T was released back in September. As is typical with Huawei's Nova series—positioned similarly to Samsung's Galaxy A-series—the Nova 5T featured the Kirin 980. The phone is now receiving the EMUI 10 update around the world as promised. That means that, of all the Kirin 980-powered phones, the Nova 5 Pro and Nova 5T Pro are the only ones yet to receive stable EMUI 10 builds.
Meanwhile, owners of the Mate 20 Pro and P30 Pro in Canada, UK, and across the EU continue to confirm receipt of the stable EMUI 10 update. A report yesterday claimed the Honor 10 and Honor View 10 were receiving the EMUI 10 update in the EU, but there's no evidence supporting that claim. Huawei hasn't sent out the EMUI 10 update to any phone with the Kirin 970 yet, and likely won't until Q2.
