[March 28, 2018 update] Be on the lookout for notebooks shipping with the MX150 'N17S-LG-A1' or '1D12' variant as GPU performance can be 20 to 25 percent slower than a "standard" MX150. The '1D12' label is essentially the Max-Q version of the MX150 and Nvidia has not been explicitly distinguishing between the two distinct MX150 versions in any of its promotional material thus far.

Developer Harebrained Schemes and publisher Paradox Interactive have announced the release date for the upcoming turn-based strategy game BattleTech. The title should launch on April 24 and will cost US$39.99 on either PC or Mac. It is also possible to purchase a digital deluxe edition of the game that will include an art book and the soundtrack.

According to an anonymous source speaking with TweakTown, the next generation of Nvidia GPUs will not be labeled as the once-expected GTX 20 Series but will be known as the GTX 11 Series. It is even possible that Nvidia will overhaul its naming conventions and start using identifiers that end in the number 5. After years of quad-core processors being the standard in powerful notebooks and desktop computers, 2018 is the starting point for Hex- and Octa-Core chipsets on a large scale, thanks to Intel’s Coffee-Lake and AMD’s Ryzen architecture. The Schenker XMG Ultra 17 has to prove itself, being one of the first notebooks with a six-core processor.

Ubisoft announces planned sequel for The Division

French video-game developer Ubisoft has announced that a sequel to the hit action RPG Tom Clancy’s The Division is in the works. The Division was released in 2016 and performed very well for the publisher, so a sequel was practically inevitable. The follow-up is being developed by a group of Ubisoft’s subsidiaries, headed by Massive Entertainment.
