EA studio Ghost Games announced earlier today Need for Speed Heat, a new title in the popular NFS franchise that promises to deliver an experience described as "the ultimate street racer versus cop fantasy." However, there are still a few months left until this game will be ready since its launch day — if everything works as planned — has been set in early November.
The open-world location for the game's story is Palm City and involves the daytime Speedhunters Showdown, a sanctioned competition for earning credits to customize and upgrade cars, as well as risky night underground races that introduces a rogue police task force that is ready to take down the racers and — obviously — take away all their earnings.
Pre-orders come with various custom cars and other treats, while those who pre-order NFS Heat in-game from Need for Speed Payback get a 10 percent discount as a Loyalty Reward. NFS Heat will launch on November 8 on Windows PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
Fortunately, those eager to see more of this upcoming title will be able to do so next week — on August 19, to be more precise — when Electronic Arts will provide an extensive Gameplay Reveal for NFS Heat during the Gamescom Opening Night Live. Until then, the only official video material available is the trailer that you can check out below.
