After offering only Intel options for years throughout the ZenBook series, the first AMD SKUs will be made available with the latest Zen+ Ryzen 5 3500U and Ryzen 7 3700U CPUs. The AMD-powered 14.1-inch ZenBook 14 UM433DA will otherwise be visually similar to its Intel-powered ZenBook 14 UX433 counterpart down to the 1.4 mm keyboard travel, 100 percent sRGB 1080p display, and port selection.
There are, however, a few notable differences between the AMD and Intel SKUs. According to the specifications sheet here, the UM433 series will forego the GeForce MX150/MX250 series in favor of the integrated Radeon RX Vega 8/10 series. Secondly, the AMD version will not have the touchscreen-enabled ScreenPad.
There is no word yet on when the ZenBook 14 UM433DA SKUs will become available or how much they will cost, but it will likely be very soon and for much less than the Intel UX433 or UX434 series. Users can expect performance to be on par with the Whiskey Lake-U Core i5-8265U or Core i7-8565U. Prior to the ZenBook 14 UM433DA, Asus was only offering AMD options for its lower-end models like the VivoBook F412 or F512.
