Hitman 3 is in development already, Hitman 2 gets a new map
Although the company behind the Hitman franchise has been sailing rough waters for a while, this family of stealth video games remains one of the best in its niche — and also one of the most underrated in the industry, unfortunately. The good part is that Hitman 3 is already in development and today, Hitman 2 has also received a new DLC, namely Siberia (The Prison).
A documentary about the rise and fall of IO Interactive that has been published on YouTube yesterday reveals that Hitman 3 is in the works and the company is interested in returning to the episodic structure that was used for the Hitman game released back in 2016.
Despite its name, Hitman 3 will not be the third game in the series, since it all started back in 2000, with the release of Hitman: Codename 47. After it, no less than six more titles arrived: Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (2002), Hitman: Contracts (2004), Hitman: Blood Money (2006), Hitman: Absolution (2012), Hitman (2016), and Hitman 2 (2018). Two mobile spinoffs have been released as well, namely Hitman Go and Hitman: Sniper.
Today, Hitman 2 players can download a new DLC — Siberia (The Prison). This is the second post-launch Sniper Assassin map that comes as part of the Expansion Pass. The DLC comes with a new location, new challenges, Rifle Mastery Progression (including the Druzhina 34 ICA Arctic unlock), new achievements/trophies, and more.
