Xiaomi is set to announce the refresh of its Mi Gaming Laptop tomorrow, with previous speculation claiming that the company would be offering the device in NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti and GeForce RTX 2060 variants. However, the company jumped the gun and unveiled the laptop at ChinaJoy 2019, the China Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference in Shanghai, earlier this week.
The conference is the first opportunity to see the new Mi Gaming Laptop, with Xiaomi insider xiaomishka publishing a slew of information about the device from ChinaJoy, along with pricing information too. As previously speculated, the new Mi Gaming Laptop will feature GTX 1660 Ti and RTX 2060 SKUs, with both being paired with a Core i7-9750H processor. The former will also come in a Core i5-9300H SKU for those who do not need a hexa-core CPU.
Xiaomishka claims that the Mi Gaming Laptop will have a 20.9 mm thick metal chassis, while all SKUs will come with a 15.6-inch 144 Hz panel that will have an 81% screen-to-body ratio and will cover 72% of NTSC. The photos show that the Mi Gaming Laptop will have two USB Type-A ports, a HDMI port and a memory card reader too.
Finally, xiaomishka published information claiming that the Mi Gaming Laptop 2019 will start at 7,499 CNY (~US$1,086), which will come with 8 GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD along with a Core i5-9300H processor and a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. Meanwhile, the Core i7-9750H, GTX 1660 Ti, 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB SSD model will cost 8,599 CNY (~US$1,246), although pricing is currently unknown for the flagship version.
