Razer launches the Viper, a new mouse for e-sports
The Razer Viper is a new mouse geared towards those involved or interested in e-sports. This is mainly due to its ultra-low weight of 69 grams. Razer also asserts that this spec does not compromise on its build quality or efficacy. It is rated for a true 16,000 dots per inch (DPI) and 1000-hertz ultrapolling.
The Viper also features what Razer calls onboard DPI storage, which means it can support the retention of up to 5 different DPI settings. This mouse also has a specially-designed ambidextrous shape and button layout, which may enhance its pro gamer-related hype. There are in fact 8 independently programmable 'Hyperesponse' buttons.
The Viper also features the Razer 5G Advanced Optical Sensor, and optical mouse switches (rated for up to 70 million clicks), also this could be said of other mice from this OEM. It does distinguish itself further with a "gaming-grade" tactile scroll wheel, acceleration of up to 450 inches per second and a Razer Speedflex cable.
This new mouse also has Razer Synapse 3 enabled, and, almost needless to say, 16.8 million-color Razer Chroma lighting.
